Boxer 'knocked over pedestrian'
Geoffrey Hatton
Mr Hatton suffered a broken leg in the collision on 2 March 2006
Boxer Amir Khan drove dangerously when he accelerated through a red light and knocked down a pedestrian on a pelican crossing, a court has heard.
Jurors heard his high-performance BMW 6 series car reached 47mph as he overtook vehicles in the wrong lane just before traffic lights in Bolton town centre.
The pedestrian, Geoffrey Hatton, 55, told Bolton Crown Court he heard a "screaming engine" prior to the crash.
Mr Khan, 20, of Lostock, near Bolton, denies dangerous driving.
Mr Hatton, a foundry worker from Bolton, suffered a broken leg in the crash in Bradshawgate on 2 March 2006.
what is with sportsmen and their cars, fucking twats, and this was the guy who had a whole programme about him telling young lads to sort themselves out, and keeping to their faith, does it saying anything about speeding in the koran?
and wasnt prince h'ahmed (sp?) who crashed into somebody while speeding in his flash sportscar, the victim nearly breaking every bone in his body.
and when ahmed gets out of princess after his paltry sentence, his entourage turn up with a massive limo and champagne and he gives it large saying its not like he's dead, fucking wanker.
47mph in town centre??? driving in the wrong lane, great example for the kids...eh amir
was it michael owen who knocked down a kid a couple of weeks back, although i not sure he was driving dangerously.
