I heard it as well, and I'm in New Cross:eek: - I was out with the dog at the time, and he was not pleased, I nearly had my arm yanked out of my socket as he pulled me all the way home.
new cross?! blimey.
It stopped as soon as he went to take a look outside (not that we could see anything from the groundfloor). Should have told me dad to check seeing as one floor up at the hospital has a fantastic view (including canary wharf and crystal palace tower).
i can hear them near hamstead heath.
fireworks i hope :D
Turns out there were also spotlights in the sky. It's probably the annual alien landing light that's a bit early (usually nearer christmas).

Yeah heard it loud and clear in Tufnell Park too...thought it was thunder for a sec!
i could see the spotlights earlier in camden too
think it was either mobo or that other music awards?
It wasn't for the mobo awards, I think that was down at the dome. These fireworks were going off north East of Highbury.
I got a great view of them from my flat, they were very impressive for a random wednesday night.
heard them in E5 too, along with police sirens (always hear them tho)
any ideas?
I'm crap at north london. Is Ally Pally NE of highbury?
