Denis Severs house is an utterly unique experience. It's not a 100% historically accurate redition of an 18th Century Spitalfields house - more of an art installtion really. But go along, give in to the atmosphere and be totally surprised when you stumble out an hour later back into the modern world. For maximum effect I would recommend going on a dark autumn or winter night when the house is candlelit - just magical.

Actually when Severs lived their he DID have a small black and white telly, I've seen the little ariel poking out the back window at the top and saw the flickering light. Could see it from my bedroom

I've been twice!! Both paid for by my work place. It is worth a visit.
