I've got to move house this week, can anyone recommend a decent place to hire a large transit style van in or near hackney, open on saturday?

TIA:)

I've used this lot to go from Canning Town to East Dulwich and from Homerton to Clapton

I thouroughly recommend them :)

Don't need the man with the van and that cshire place isn't that cheap (£80) - anyone else have any recommendations?
Only need it for 1/2 day (~4hrs) and would love to book it for tomorrow if possible, I know, left it rather late so may end up having to pay through the nose; am currently googling and ploughing through the options.

I used a chap to bring some furniture from Chelsea to Bathnal Green - £35 on a Friday night. I am not sure what his hourly rate is, I'm not even sure of his name but here's his number 07956 086684

Hang on pinky - what do you needif you don't need a man with a van?

Just needed the van, I can drive myself.
Got a van for £45 in the end but had to get to Enfield to collect it, so with train & bus fares either way + I put £10 diesel in, it was more like £65! I'll be needing more vans soon, obviously it's cheaper to hire during the week.

Tthats the reason I go to CS Hire. I can cycle there. Stick the bike in the back. Being open all the time means you can get it for 1/2 a day.

New vans as well. Too many hire places given me something that is questionably road worthy.

Stop being such a cheap skate.

The van I got was a real nipper, probably the best van I've ever hired but I take your point, a van hire that I could cycle to would be useful. I'll be a cheap as a like though :D
