Where is there a nice pub with: an outdoors area with tables, that serves a cider other than Strongbow and Magners? :)

There's gotta be loads. I'm sure both my locals sell that Westons Organic Cider and you can certainly sit outside with it if you fancy coming to Shepherds Bush

Best pub for proper ciders is Wenlock Arms http://www.beerintheevening.com/pubs/s/13/1316/Wenlock_Arms/Hoxton however, it does not have outdoor seating. There is a park across the street, though so perhaps you can bring a picnic blanket?

I know there's probably loads, but not sure where they are :D
South of the river would be preferable :o

What's wrong with Magners? lol
I know some great park benches where you'll get a fair whack of woodpecker, if you're interested...

Prefer other ciders.
How about the Edinboro Castle in Camden off Parkway... nice/large garden... delicious bbq'ed burgers ('when the sun has got his hat on') and they do organic cider too. :)

you can sit out of the back of the beehive in brixton next to the kitchen extractor fans and drink koppaberg. as i may have done this evening
by excuses being
a) its only £2.29 a bottle
b) i had been at the rec and we wanyed the nearest pub that would mind people that smelt like they had jsut been playing footy :)

It looks like orange piss and tastes worse. They sell it as something to be drunk with ice because that makes it harder to tell that it tastes like piss.
It's no better than strongbow and if you think otherwise you're clearly the kind of person who can be persuaded by a fancy bottle and an expensive advertising campaign rather than your tastebuds.
:)
The Dog House has Stowford Press & outside seating next to a nice busy road. :)
I'm sure there are places who sell Addlestons too but I can't think of any off the top of me head.
Magners is utter shite & should be avoided at all cost.

there's that pub nr borough market where they sell proper flat cloudy cider, you can stand outside.

The Market Porter? The cider in there's great but it's not the best pub if you're going to be spending much time outside - no shelter to keep the rain out and the pavement's pretty busy.

I really like the Royal Oak in Borough, but same problem... no outsidey bit.
Think the Dog House is winning so far.

Certainly, down here in Devon-land they have a great range of ciders and perrys - Weston's perry being a particular favourite of mine at the moment. Tastes gorgeous - and it's bloody lethal! :D

Early evening, it's great, there's a good mixture of people in there

I didnt see the 'south of the river' specification...
In that case, I retract my recommendation... wouldnt want the South London riff raff taking up all the outdoor seating anyway! :p

I hate to say it, but most Wetherspoons have an outside area, 'scrumpy'- usually Westons, and a wide-ish range of bottled cider, including, as has been mentioned that Swedish stuff.
And you won't find cheaper.
Occasionally they have Biddenden Kentish cider on draft, which is something to behold.

You can't ever get the outdoor seating at the Engineer anyway.
Some posho always gets there first, reserving the seats for their snobby friends with discarded pashminas and 3-wheeled prams...
;)
The Balham Bowls Club - Brothers' pear cider in bottles, Stowford press on draught and lots of outside sitting....
Actually, the fella behind the bar in The Albert mentioned that he was getting some scrumpy in as a guest, Black Rat or something. They've got a outside bit too. Fairly shitty outside bit though, sadly.

Call yourself a North Londoner - what sort of imposter are you. Probably from Surrey or the Home Counties really I suspect.
Any fule knows that the Engineer is on Gloucester Ave, also in NW1. Especially me, who used to work down the road for 5 years. One of the few decent pubs in the area - Camden's got some right ponceholes and shite hostelries
And even if I did mean to say the Edinborough Castle, I knows what I means.

Fox on the Hill
Well, you've been in one Wetherspoons, you've been in them all.
The Fox in the Box has as high a number of "I've haven't left the pub since March" types propping up the floor as the one in Brixton and is a place where designated driver is an unknown concept.
Cracking outside spaces, though, front and rear.

...and it is walking distance to my house - maybe I'll pop in tomorrow, see what ciders they've got and what it's like :)

Magners (or Bulmers, as most of my locals sell at the moment) makes a handy take-out drink at Time :)

The Greyhound, Old Compton St, Soho has very nice perry on tap and also some real beer. I think it has some seats outside.

The Blackfriar sells Addlestons and has a ok'ish outside area, not that it was used when I was last there as it was pissing it down, by the Thames as well which always a bonus.

The Bread and Roses pub in Clapham usually has an interesting cider and they have a nice beer garden. www.breadandrosespub.com
Nearest underground is Clapham North.
What's wrong with Magners? lol
Posted this before but the point is worth making again:

I was interested to note, that on holiday in the Green Isle back in '97-Manga, sorry Magners had just come out.
Madame from Cork, a feerless cider consumer, tasted Magners for the first time.
Verdict;
"Fohkin' shite, how 'my s'posed to get pissed on this? Tell me that? eh?"
All the mainstream fizzy pop ciders now come with the instruction on the can to 'serve over ice'
fuck off will I
