If you want northern prices, you're best bet is probably going to be 'spoons. Sorry :(

You could go to the stockpot. They do pretty cheap food, but it's not top quality nosh or anything.

I am cooking dinner for friends tonight - if I had the space round the dinner table, you could have come round too. Im not too far.

Next time though. :) (sorry, totally unhelpful post:o )

cheers madusa :) i shall hold you to that ;)
and ta xanadu!

ended up at the goose and crown (or was it the crown and goose?)
the BIGGEST roast i've ever eaten. and it was amazing. and i could hardly walk afterwards for fullness of belly :o
(cost a tenner, but worth every penny. about a quid more than leeds would have charged for such huge amounts of goodness :)).

*still recovering from finishing it all*

so. yes. future reference:
goosey crown does food til ten in the week, and nine on sundays. and i want to eat my way throught the menu :o
liberties also looks very very very nice
as does camden kitchen
