ooh.. might get some inspiration from this - let me know when you're going :)
In the diary. Sunday would probably be best for me.

Yes mate - after a Saturday night party I am sure your judgment will be fine to choose a tattoo:eek: ;)
I expect I'd have to book a slot in advance rather than just turn up mate. :p

do I look like your Mum? :p :D

If I remember correctly he/she described Electric Ave/Serious Business as 'the pick of the bunch'. :p

Taking photos is fine usually. Normal rules apply, ask first etc..

ok cheers :)
I haven't been before what can I expect?
I've only been to the one at Manchester earlier this year myself, although I'm assured London is the one to go to in this country.
Tbh it seemed like an excuse to get pissed and meet people I'd only spoken to online.
I got really pissed and never really met anyone. :o :D

Wasn't one of these guys was it I hope:confused:
Well the one on the left is Brad Pitt, so maybe it was the other, sheepish looking one?

Oh :(
Will it be worth 18 quid then?!
Well, you get to see people getting tattooed, there'll be the odd stall and a bit of nudity I guess.
Thinking about it though if I wasn't getting in for free I probably wouldn't bother. In fact a bit of travel expenses wouldn't go amiss.
E2A: You shouldn't necessarily take my word for it. I can be a moody cunt, it did feel a bit cliquey though.
May is probably the one to ask, I'd guess she has been to a few.
£18 is a bit pricey.
I'm gonna give it a go it'll be an interesting day out what with that many artists under one roof too :)
I'm doing nothing on the Sunday. :)
I'm doing nothing on the Sunday. :)
You're not doing anything on the saturday either except watching a football game on the telly :p
Anyway I'm going saturday
Eh? It's not on the telly, it would envolve going to Swindon. And I've got a gig that evening.
Might give it a miss this year then. :(

Oh right going to watch it at the ground are you?
I just think people will wanna pack up on the sunday wont they?
and you'll be fucked form saturday night :p
Word of warning - I went to the first one of these a few years ago and went on the Friday - they opened about 3 hours late...lots of hanging about waiting for stuff to happen got a bit boring.
Odd, that a convention of tattoists might run a bit late ;)

that's how I'm feeling too. I've been to a few tattoo conventions and I don't really need to go to another (esp. for £18 each).
we could all meet up and just look at each other's tattoos  :D
Wahey, I got some expenses :)
Anyone going then? zenie? What day? I will probably go Saturday.
I'm trying to sort out transport etc, a bit disorganised and seem to have left it all a bit late.
No-one going now?
Made my mind up I am going Sunday. The competitons are judged that day and I have to enter and can't be arsed with staying over.
If anyone fancies meeting up that would be cool. :)
I think I'll be oging sunday now seeing as Onket has more pressing plans (like a gig and a football match on the telly) to go on the saturday. :p
What are the competitions? :)

we might go on the friday.. or not.. not sure yet :)
I dont know if you need to book tickets or not?
Anyone? :)
Not sure what categories are in the comps, best sleeve, black and grey colour, small, best done at show etc.
I'm gonna book a ticket tonight :)
Looks like it's too late. Website just says tickets available on the door.
Might be going on Saturday now.
I am off tomorrow now too.
Just found out about a BMX jam on Sunday in Chertsey so making a weekend of it with my son.
Did anyone go?
It was fucking amazing. Absoutely awesome work walking everywhere. Some great tattooists at work, interesting stuff on sale and loads of free stickers
Well worth a look next year for anyone who was in two minds.
Were you there on the saturday?
We went it was good - although missing out the middle floor until last was a BIG mistake :D :( :o
I do think it was a bit overpriced but it seems like all these exhbitions and shows are about that much money and it can't have been cheap to hire the venue.
*shrugs*
Were you there on the saturday?
From about 12 to 7.30. My feet were tired then, spent most of the time wandering round with a few mates who came down last minute. A few pints in the bar and I was nearly in the mood for getting pissed but kept being accosted by random people who'd seen me on telly.
I do think it's quite a lot and getting work is very expensive at a convention. My mate was quoted some crazy money for some very small pieces he wanted. Manchester was more expensive to get in and not as good. The quality of the artists at London was a hundred times better.
BMX event yesterday was out of this world too. Top weekend :)
I did wonder how much it was to get tatttod at the convention didn't realise it would be so much more, but then I guess some artists you'd have to pay and go and see in their countrys.
We were there at the same time as you then :( shame!!
Thought about going to the Brighton one but now you've said that about Manchester, I might give it a miss.
Yeah, shame to have missed you Part2. Mind you, seems you were accosted enough!!
