You know, the edible stuff to line the bottom of macaroons and the like.

Any ideas?

The kitchen department in Morley's (lower ground floor) always seems to have everything cooking related. Worth popping your head in there.

if not you can make your own by soaking sheets of kitchen roll in a solution of rice (not rinsed so it retains its' starch), white sugar (or honey) and warm water. then hanging up to dry.

turns out great and tastes delicious :)

Sounds quite odd.

I've bought some rice paper from the Chinese supermarket. Ingredients are rice and water. Is this somethign I can use as intended for baking?

I'll post the same question in Suburban, I think.

I know - seems sooo obvious now. I'm not experienced in these matters, rice paper seems a bit exotic to me. I'll have a look in there tomorrow.
