Guildford Spectrum is chavtastic.
Ah, Waterpalace... many happy birthday parties! Coral Reef mentioned on that site is the other one I remember going to, it's not too long a drive to Reading if you're a kid who's really excited about going to a water park.
Um
Woolwich pool is like a happy shopper version - its a leisure pool rather than a water world extravaganza - but its.....
a) Local
b) Cheap- cos its normal pool prices

Waterpalace was grotty before it closed though - climbing the rickety, algae-slippery steps on the waterslide was pretty grim. Actually a similar place that used to be in Wandsworth was equally tatty - both of them hung on for a little before losing far too much money to continue.
Nearest place I remember with a wave machine is Latchmere leisure centre, Battersea way. I haven't been for many a year mind, but it did seem exciting as a nipper.
Did anyone see that newpaper 'What Happened to...' article about Croydon Lido by the way, in the Observer (I think) a few weeks back? There was a little mention about the Water Palace in that.

People talk about beckenham Spa - haven't been myself, so don't know what it includes.
For small children the park on Wells Park Rd - near Sydenham Woods is good. it has interactive water fountains in the playground. They erupt unexpectedly as you run through etc.
And free.
Wavelengths Pool in Deptford has lots of bells and whistles. Cheap too.
