I won an appeal for a tow that took place in April, I am due a refund of £200. On June 14th I was told that the council have to pay me within 28 days.
28 days is up on Monday. I've just phoned them to see if my cheque has been sent out, they said it wasn't checked by finances until 6th July so I will have to wait 20-odd days more.
If I get a parking ticket and don't pay within 14 days the amount is doubled - can I get compensation from Lambeth for their late payment?

Perhaps you could take a winding up order out on them...

Its not a penalty, rather you get a discount for paying within 28 days, so there probably isn't much you can do.

Who set this period? The council or the tribunal? If the latter, contacting them again to say the the council have not respected their judgement might help?

Local Authority Ombudsman if you don't get satisfaction by complaining via the council's own set-up.

yeah, this is all you can do. you can invoice them, charge interest and see what happens. and threaten to call in the bailiffs.
