Came out of my daughter's nursery in Angell Town at 6pm and saw a youth in a black hoodie run past. By the time we got to the alley way we were overrun by police cars and vans chasing the lad and shouting about firearms.
They lost him in the Angell Estate - by the time we reached the Loughborough Junction end they'd stopped every youth in the area and emptied every car, but didn't look like they'd got their boy.
Wish I'd seen the lad's face, can't believe how many guns there round here being carried by youth with no sense or fear.

How times have changed. :(

Not only does this now not make the national papers, it no longer manages even the local paper and now doesn't even manage a reply on a brixton forum.

I'm not sure they've changed quite that much - back in 1996 I remember dealing with five firearms incidents simultaneously one Thursday late turn ... not one of them made the local press let alone anything more ... (that wasn't the norm, however ... thank God!)

I personally experienced two firearms in one night running pubs ten years or so back if that's any compensation, neither of which made the local Guardian, let alone the SLP or national press.
