Well, um, only if you lot post some pics -
Found a few village show efforts from various places, need to find some expert Thai veg sculptures. Hmm.
Anyway, here's a couple from the West Show in Guernsey to be going on with. They look decidedly familiar don't they?

Unfortunately we're going to miss this completely, as we'll be at Eastern Haze festival instead.
But before we knew of the clash, we'd been planning the vegetable animals, and what we would have done, very predictably, was aubergine-based, as it's rich!s favourite thing in the world, and of course it would have had to have been a sealion.
How to make a vegetable bucket was the main thing we hadn't yet conquered. :D

How to enter:
Turn up at the Village Green around 4pm on Saturday and look out for people clutching strange vegetable creations. They'll probably be drunk.
Come up and introduce your animal to the judges and await the judging. Good luck
There will be two categories:
1. Famous people
2. Famous buildings
The rules:
Only vegetables, fruit and cocktails sticks are allowed.
Judging:
4.00pm Saturday on the Village Green
Prize:
Bottle of (cheap) champagne.

(possibly stupid question) Do you have to use vegetabes you've grown yourself or is supermarket fare allowed??
