Venice and Rome

Two nights in Venice followed by 4 in Rome.

In Venice staying nr St Marks sq and in Rome the Collesium.

Any tips on site seeing, getting about and good cheap food please :)

Never been to Rome, but in Venice I loved the http://www.guggenheim-venice.it/ some fabulous art & it's set right on the grand canal, really beautiful :)

Also, we went over to Murano where most of the huge glass workshops are, which was fab

It's really easy to get about in Venice on the canals, buy a day ticket and you can hop on & off as much as you like :)

If you want cheap, don't eat round near St Mark's Sq, it's very expensive

Both fantastic places, love them. No specific advice, just wander about and you can't go wrong.

Have been to Rome umpteen times, and always do the same.. just wander. You'll cover all the main sites, and they're all well worth it.

Very jealous!
