cant comment on thios, but in the Camerwell environs, we am constantly assaulted by ironic street pastes/ posters/ stickers/ adhoc installations by groovy art students

they stop short of doing much a mile down the road in the Bronx of SE London - Peckham

Little bit more organised than Peckhamce

You will notice from the map on the second site abocve that the Bronx actually has a lot of coast, parkland etc- plus its actually home to to 2 very expensive private schools - oh wow - all very un-Peckham-like.
But you're right. art students are spineless

Not that it matters ;)

They're a bit crap.

Or am I just missing the point and they are, in fact, brilliantly satirical?

I think I'd rather have someone's lame tagging than a picture of Kate Moss...

Why does the OP say they're in Brixton Hill and Time Out says they're in Clapham?

Is the OP trying to avoid the inevitable anti-clapham flack that always appears on these boards? ;)

Kanda

No, they started on the Hill, then went for a bit of a wander...

Is it you that's been stencilling the brixton hill end of Holmewood Road?

My favourite bit of 'street art' (I think) was two enormous dead crabs on top of the bus stop at the Tabernacle bus stop at Elephant a few years back. :D

I guess they're ok to look at whilst stepping over in a I wonder what shit club night they're advertising kinda way. Otherwise they are pointless and unoriginal. Someone said once if you can't say something positive don't say it they were a deluded fool, perhaps like the person adorning our footpaths with these pieces of non art.
