View Full Version : Whats to do in Luxembourg?
Im going to be there for 2 weeks for work, and Im not exactly overjoyed at the prospect. I know nothing about it, and am fearfull of its dull reputation.
Recommendations for places go to, things to see and places to eat, clubs would be appreciated. What is there is do in the evening?
Or does having a good time involve leaving the country?!
thanks in advance.

the scenery is quite nice if it's not raining... it won't take too long to see it all though. just go on a nice walk. :)
the bars & restaurants look very eighties  :D

Some one is asking about things to do in Luxembourg?
What's strange about that?!
Found this on the BBC. Guess you could do worse than look up the places listed.
Luxembourg - Entertainment
Luxembourg city has a fairly low key nightlife. Chiggeri attracts a sophisticated international crowd, Interview is popular with students and Café Big Moon and Chez Gusty are popular gay bars. Didjeridoo is Luxembourg's largest disco, Pulp is popular at weekends and Melusina provides pop and techno at weekends.
The country is relatively gay and lesbian friendly, with plenty of friendly clubs and bars.
In all seriousness, there is absolutely nothing to do in Luxembourg.
Nothing.

En route Saarbrucken - Charleroi one Saturday I had "breakfast" in Luxemboug city station buffet.
Even the old girls were knocking back litres of beer ....
I suspect it says it all !
2 hours by train to Amsterdam :D

theres a good english pub in luxembourg city,
and another nice bar down in the bottom, inbetween old and new town.
check out the old side for nice cafes/shops/restaurants and a cool indiependent record store.
on the new side, theres bars, clubs, gambling, the red light district, the english bar i forget the name off.
inbetween the new and old parts there is a big rivine, with a park thats quite nice to walk around on a good day. and theres the bar down there somewhere.
if you get out of the city and head north a little bit the country side is very nice, i enjoyed many days of mountainbiking around steep sided valleys with castles, cliffs. somewhere there is an aazing area of big rocks/cliffs, hidden amongst a forest. great walk/ride. this was near a town called Larochette.
whilst i worked there we took a little trip by train into brussels and the big theme park, 6 flags europe. also you got south holland just a little away for dope and nice booze, dont just go straigh to the 'dam! Germany for, er german things, south for the alps (kind of...)
Leave, its not far to go.
