View Full Version : Camping Crisis

I'm having a bit of a crisis! After arranging a plan to go to Bath/Bristol with a bunch of mates paintballing I realised that the campsite we were going to book is a "Family Campsite" and no groups (especially blokes apparently) can book there. Understandable when they said the average guest goes to bed at 9pm and if a whisper is heard after this time everyone complains. We're not rowdy types but we'll probably stay up chatting over a few cans until midnight or something.
Does anyone know of a less family-centric campsite in the area that would welcome grown adults and their normal weekend sleeping patterns?

All suggestions welcome!

cheers for that. Funnily enough it was Newton Mill Camping that mentioned the 9pm "curfew". They didn't necessarily insist on it but highlighted that they are a family campsite and there would certainly be complaints if we stayed up late talking... Maybe I'm worrying about it too much, we're only staying one night.

let me know what your friends parents say anyway, we're not going until July. Thanks again.

I stayed at Newton Mill last year, nice site in a valley by a stream, but certainly had a family feel. Guess it depends how busy it is, but felt quite 'organised'.

There are two campsites confusingly both called Church Farm between Bath and Bradford on Avon - Church Farm in Winsley http://www.churchfarmcamping.co.uk/ and Church Farm Monkton Farleigh http://visitbath.co.uk/site/alojamiento/camping-en-bath/church-farm-monkton-farleigh-p8371

Both are fairly convenient for Bath centre (probably less than 20 mins drive/bus) but I dont know about how 'family' orientated they are
