Anyone know when it re-opens?

Supposedly "Summer 2007"

Although I was rather alarmed by a stray reference to (as I read it) cutting the whole of the £2.1m contingencies budget for the lido project from Lambeth's 2007-08 capital programme when I was looking through the Council's budget documents last month. (I've never known a swimming pool project come in on time or within budget

Ms T and I are trying to get into running and go past it three times a week.
The pool itself seems untouched but the changing rooms fronting into the park have been demolished and a great steel framework has taken their place.
Chaps pour concrete in all weathers. It may even be finished by the summer, cross your fingers.

It's slated to open in June - but I think it's more likely to be July - although we might be lucky. BLU are working really hard on a huge variety of 70th birthday celebrations as well as publishing a commemorative book which will take place over the summer. :) They are currently collating memories, old pictures etc of the Lido over the last 70 years if anyone has anything to contribute.
