Now admittedly I'm with Virgin and get crap reception anyway, but is there anywhere in Brixton where you find your reception is particularly bad? Is it just Virgin or does everyone have problems at certain locations in Brixton?
It's almost impossible for me to get reception in Elm Park in my flat. I have to go out on to the street which is just asking to be mugged :(
Virgin uses the t mobile network and has the worst coverage of the uk compared with other networks. Short of changing networks theres not a lot you can do...

so, who's the best PAYG provider then?
I'm on Vodafone and the whole block from Elm Park down to Claverdale Rd and across to Upper Tulse Hill and down to Brixton Hill is terrible. Virtually no coverage at all. Maybe 1 bar if i'm lucky.
And now i know why, have a look at http://www.sitefinder.ofcom.org.uk/ search by postcode ad it shows you what masts are in your area. The only mast is an Orange one.

Right, that rules out Virgin and Vodaphone so far.

Orange is shit around Tulse Hill - Leigham Vale/Palace road area and the station...
So why I'm still with them I have no idea...

Well that's exactly when I need it, in the house as I can't hear my landline in the living room if I'm in the bedroom, so I need mobile
I'm on Orange, and if i want to use my mobile I have to go upstairs cos there's no reception downstairs!
And on a hill (Brixton Hill), you'd think it would be better..

orange is f*cking bloody awful in my flat (central brix) & my flatmate is with 3 i think, and it isn't much better for her either - though marginally better.
I think that's the dullest post I've ever written. :)

Not at all. I've absolutely NO complaints whatsoever about Virgin Customer Service. They're fantastic

It's lovely weather today. Fancy taking a walk up to Elm Park and seeing if it's any better there? :D

I can tell you that Orange have crap customer service as did one2one (now T Mobile). O2 don't seem so bad, but I've had very little reason to call them.

It's in Brixton Hill. In fact, it's so nearly in Brixton Hill, it might as well be moved into the Prison :p
Which is where the regulars will end up one day ;)

It's closer to my old gaff on Athlone Road than it is Brixton Hill so it might as well be moved to St Martins...

St Martin's? WTF's St Martin's?
You're just making things up now as you're stuck in the middle of nowhere :p
Enjoy your weekend :D
Orange is the best on Brixton Hill folowed by Vodafone. Orange mobiles even work in a pub basement!
T-Mobile/Virgin is the worst on the Hill but is the best in Crystal Palace. they're all fuckers though.

Tulse Hill end of Elm Park road, top of the hill, where the little library/community centre is...
