Couldn't see what all these guys had on their jackets or who they were, but there were two guys opposite at the tube station with Hi Vis jackets on that had Community Wardens on.
Are these the same as CSOs. Is this Home Sec's response to the shootings?
Sorry, but I only got a glimpse of them so couldn't tell what or who they were
They were from Lambeth council, handing out some freebie or another.

If they said "Community Wardens", no, they're not.
Community Wardens have even less powers that PCSOs. They are employed by some councils (Camden have had them for ages - theirs wear red polo shirts / fleeces / anoraks (or, at least, they used to).

They don't sound exactly visible. I can't remember ever seeing one - not sure I'd be able to recognise one if I did.

A community warden helped me once, he was very nice, so based entirely on that one experience, I like them :)
