2am Fireworks Fiasco.

Was anyone else woken up at 2am by the fireworks? Sounded like a fireworks factory had gone up. Both me and my boyfriend thought it seemed to be too many fireworks going off at one time to be a "personal" party or something. Went on for ages too. Pretty, but would have prefered a few hours earlier lol. :eek:

I did look out the window at the party I was at to see if I could see the fireworks. They were quite vigorous.

Actually I just thought to myself "either some inconsiderate twat is letting off fireworks, or the local youth are getting restive again", so I'm glad you've confirmed it was fireworks.

Heard 'em - wonder what it was? As there were a few exiled lefty Americans living in our block of flats back in the day there used to sometimes be a cod July 4th event on the roof, with music and drinks, wasn't bad in fact - I guess it is getting near to Hallowe'en (Samhain) though.

Of course we Irish "celebrate" Hallowe'en not November 5 (would celebrate if Guy Fawkes had been successful tho' :) )

Just seen this - I must confess to knowing what the fireworks were about! It was for someone's engagement party. I don't know whose idea it was to let them off at that time though and some of us were surprised it didn't attract police attention.
