They still haven't put the windows back as they were despite an enforcement notice....I haven't a clue about what happened regarding the big noisy aircon units that kept residents behind Living Bar awake at nights...
It still has heavy duty bouncers lurking outside on weekends, the cheapo decking still causes congestion on the street and there's still unsavoury characters hanging around the peripheral of the bar on weekends.

Apparently, there's quite a thriving (mainly) black poetry night there on Mondays. I believe it started in the Lounge, where it was so big it had to move to larger premises. Thence it took up residence in the Dogstar, but was banished by the management because the audience and punters (so I was told) didn't drink enough (!) Then it moved on for a stint at Jamm, but has now landed in Living. I haven't been yet, but by all accounts it's really good (the night, not the venue!)

(Perhaps the Dogstar preferred to have the place all to themselves on a Monday night instead?)
Not sure if I could bear going to Living for the night though.

I think that Dogstar do some kind of movie night out the back on a monday now.
Really? All I can see from, the outside are ginormous posters advertising Distronaut's Saturday night and misleading posters suggesting that well known acts are due to be performing there (when you get close - and I mean really close - you usually spot the words 'DJ set by')
