We're off to Le Havre at the end of the month to see The Sultan's Elephant (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Sultan's_Elephant). Anyone else been? Anything we should see while we're there?

How are you getting there and where are you staying?
I'd really like to go as well.

We're getting the ferry from Portsmouth and staying in a B & B near the docks.
I loved the Sultan's Elephant when it was in London, can't wait to see it again.

Only stopped overnight there for ferries going to/from cycling hols in France - from what I remember it was bombed to bits in the war so is mostly rebuilt 60s lowrise - not rough or dangerous but not wildly exciting either.
However, if you're a architecture buff, there's a very rare in Europe Oscar Neimeyer cinema/cultural centre.

If you're an architecture buff there's a lot more than the cinema
