View Full Version : My first night out in ages - but where?

Having been doing my time time as 'good dad' and staying in a lot to look after my little boy I haven't been for a proper night out in ages and ages. Its literally been grabbing a couple of hours to mate mates in the pubs of brixton when babysitting timetables allow.

Now my good lady is going away for the weekend (friday 29th till Monday 2nd) which means for the first time in a year I've got a whole weekend and the opportunity to go out till the wee hours and even wake up with a hangover and not have to do responsible things like bathe children etc.

So in your infinite urban wisdom where can I go and what shall I do.
I know where everywhere but have no idea whats going on.

I like reggae, soul, to old for house etc, like nice grub, good wine and well kept lager. I fancy a dance, if my hips still work!!!

I've been reading the pub thread but fancy more than just a few pints....answers on a postcard please.

sounds fun, £3 and I get to be sick on my shoes.
Although I'd be beaten to death for some of my records...

That's the whole point :)

But would it be Polish sailor's vomit?
Not at the Canterbury, no.
Unless you happen to vomit Football Shirts Of The World.

I'm having second thoughts now...
Paying £3 to listen to my own records, and then being castagated for having no taste and having someone be sick on my shoes, what with the strife and child it sounds very much like a night in!

The great thing is nobody knows which records you brought unless you tell them. Or you punch the air and go "Yessss!" when it comes on and proceed to sprain your ankle dancing like a twat to it :) I imagine. I've never done that, oh no.

thanks everyone,
thats Saturday and Sunday covered, just need something to start me off on Friday. Perhaps a quite dinner out somewhere with a good book, a overdue trip to the cinema, or perhaps just a quiet night in with some herion and a crack whore.
Decisions decisions.....
