When I moved into this neighborhood, I fell in love right away. Not with the actual neighborhood, but with its potential: It's affordable, there are nice row houses all around just waiting to be filled up by my friends, there's lot of open space to be exploited, and plenty of parking. Plus, this area has got a great authentic feel and, with a little work, it could be even more authentic. Perfect, right?

So why am I the only one doing anything about it?

I am always telling my other struggling artist, freelance graphic designer, and independent T-shirt-maker friends that this is the neighborhood to take it to. It's the next big thing. Sure, it's an hour from my day job and right next to a stinky canal and a power station, but that's the whole charm—it keeps the yuppies out.

Sound familiar? Yes, your mate chegrimandi started an identical thread last month. He even quoted the same piece as you.

Funny that, isn't it?

I'd say it's more of a coincidence, but if it procured mirth for you then goodo.

I'd say it's more of a coincidence, but if it procured mirth for you then goodo. It's usually mildly amusing when you get hopelessly caught out as yet another of your infantile attempts to wind people up backfires.

Why do you bother posting here anyway?

Most of your posts just seem to be a long succession of petty little snipes at other posters which makes you look rather bitter and, perhaps, desperate for attention.

Wanna bet?

You know I didn't post the link as Cheggers.I'm not suggesting that you did.

I'm saying this "coincidental" thread is just another example of your tedious, petty and spiteful little sneering campaign here. And you've been rumbled.

All of which begs the question: why bother, fanta?

You're sounding paranoid mate.

Having a sense of humour is not a bad thing.

Funny article. Kind of spot on about people who love living on the edge....

Good job Fanta isn't utterly obsessed with slagging off Urban75 elsewhere, otherwise people might think he was just having a cheap dig at this web community, for the sole benefit of the other deeply obsessed people on another newly founded and tiny bulletin board founded after they were justifiably kicked out of the first AND second boards set up to slag off Urban75.

Usually typified by the 40-something failed white middle class skinny posh-voiced dribbling alcoholics who do nothing all day except hang around the Beehive waiting for it to open, and then post libellous and incorrect stuff about Urban75 from Brixton's cybercafes and libraries.

And, might I add, who actually define the very nature of Brixton's 'gentrification' far more than the 'deejays', no matter how much they might drunkenly dribble their protestations at such a suggestion...

Now that really would be 'living on the edge'.
