Clapham Leisure Centre

I usually got to Brixton Rec to play badminton but this weekend me and three friends went to Clapham Leisure Centre instead.

Never again.

We were met by a Catherine Tate-style "am i bovvered?" receptionist, a well-meaning but not up-to-the-job duty manager, a rude aerobics teacher and an abusive/racist/homophobic/physically threatening female aerobics class participant who not only had a go at us for wanting to use the badminton hall but started shouting at the staff too!!

By contrast, the staff and customers at Brixton Rec seem positively genteel!

That's been my experience too.

The turd in the changing room :eek: didn't do much to endear the place to me, either.

Yep, if Lambeth really are steadfast about pulling down a Leisure Centre, they will get no complaints from me if Clap'ham comes first.

There's been plenty of theft in the male changing rooms recently. I'm not going to post here the easy manner in which it has been done, but if I ever go for a swim there now, I always leave my bag by the poolside.
