Bolivia Is Not For Sale.
Following on from the benefit held in feb at the Redstar there is another benefit at Jamm this Friday night Sept 8th with live entertainment from
King Blues(ska).
The Extemists(Brixton hip hop collective).
The Rosinators(folk/cajun).
Eddie Tenpole(ex Tenpole Tudor).
on the decks

Tattoo John(both Alabama 3)
Mickey Vespre
Cesar R & Garcia(latin/d&b)
8pm-5am
£5
Between 8pm-10pm there will be a reportback from the trade union delegation to Bolivia including a showing of the video-Bolivia 2006:start of the process admission free
I'll put up the running times as soon as I work out what they are.

Wicked - stayed there for a while working for a human rights charity. Even had the pleasure of meeting Evo before he became president.

Think I'll turn up for this.

Great cause but also a great line up. Bit cheap though; think you should ask people to pay more if they can afford it.:)

Incidentally, Ministry of Unsound say the King Blues are the best band they've put on all year, and no-one who's seen the Extremists will need telling how good they are...

The bands will start playing at about 10.30pm
Eddie tenpole on first then The Rosinators,The Extremists and finally King Blues.
DJ's start with D Wayne(10.30pm) then Mickey Vespre and ending up with Tattoo John.
In the band room
Cesar & Garcia will be playing through out the night.

This should be a really good night. I am definitely going.

I went on the delegation to Bolivia in April and it was incredible to meet the most inspiring activists and revolutionaries who are showing what the power of mass organisation and mobilisation can do. The video showing for free from 8-10pm should be wicked.

I enjoyed this. Ed Tudor Pole was ropey at best, but The Rosinators were shit hot. Missed the King Blues which was a shame but hope to see them again soon (Redstar 30/09). The Extremists I really wanted to like but didn't think too much of to be honest.

All for a good cause too.
