Just wanted to let you all know that I appealed two parking fines - one because my work permit had partially obscured my resident permit. The other for parking in a suspended bay - the reason for the suspended bay was roadworks on the opposite side of the road - the suspension was for three days, the roadworks were complete on the second day. The ticket was given four minutes before the deadline on the third day. I had to appeal three times but just got the letter to say the private adjudicator had upheld the appeal and I now do not have to pay.
Very pleased I persevered.

Please to hear that you have taken on the grabbing fuckers and won.

Have a big sloppy kiss. :D

I was very pleased to fuck off a warden in sheffield last year. The bastard was ticketing my van but there were no signs on my side of the road.

Another fuck off tablet for the bastards.:)

it would be good if you could claim costs against the issuing authority when your appeal was allowed. maybe if it started costing them money they might start ticketing more wisely. fanciful i know but one can live in hope.

The adjudicator does have the power to award expenses, I think, in cases wher they deem the issuing of the ticket to have been a waste of time. They can also award expenses against the appealer (appellant? or whatever) though, if the appeal is adjudged to be timewasting.
