Phone R Welling. If you can tow it down to just beside The Den you may get a few bob for it for scrap metal. Ogtherwise he'll come and take it off you but he won't give you much (if anything) if he has to send a truck out.

just drag the fucker into the street and torch it.

No need to torch it! Just leave it in the street with the keys in the ignition and some bright spark will make use of it :)

You might get to see it wrapped around a lamp post several hundred yards down the road

No need to torch it! Just leave it in the street with the keys in the ignition and some bright spark will make use of it :)My old landlord in Oxford actually did this: he left his keys in the ignition and somebody did indeed steal the car and later torch it. Subsequently my landlord made it his business to get to the burnt-out car before the insurance people did, so that he could retrieve his keys before they realised what he'd done.

Was his claim successful?

Nowadays I wouldn't let the vehicle out of my sight without somebody having signed the V5c before leaving. Any tickets that car gets are your responsibility at the moment!

You should be alright :)

Don't do a SORN though, tell the DVLA the car has been scrapped.
