While briefly in Brixton last week, I noticed the smell of gas on Effra Road just on the junction with Kellett Road. It wasn't a strong smell (otherwise people probably wouldn't have been lighting cigarettes at the bus stop) but I was concerned enough to call the number for emergency gas leaks that appeared in phone book.
Next morning I was on my way, so could anybody be good enough as to tell me if anything transpired?
well i've not seen anything go bang
which is good

Haven't seen anything odd in Effra Road.. although a man nearly died in the Prince Regent whilst I was there today..

Presumably he hadn't been in since before it was refurbished and nearly had a heart attack?

Well they were giving him CPR! He was clearly in the middle of his dinner and we had just ordered...

He seemed fine as he left in the ambulance - he seemed to be moving... but it was quite unsettling!
It,s good to get an expert voice though... we had thought he might have choked!
