I actually got a bit tearful watching this!

I recognise quite a few people and voices (especially the older lady whose name I won't write, but I'm sure many Lido regulars will know her).

Go anyway! It's much nicer when it's dull.... you get the pool to yourself and it tends to be much clearer. I will probably go myself shortly and I'm praying it stays a bit dull otherwise it will be too crowded.

Yeah, what gaij said - just go! It's not at all cold after your first half length, and it's great fun even in the rain (http://www.mondaysmusings.blogspot.com/pics/180806/lido06.html). Far better than a sterile indoor pool, assuming that it is even open :rolleyes:

I did a late Lido swim at 5pm today - about half a dozen of us in there. The perfect way to unwind after a mad day rushing about in the crappy West End. Now I know why I live in South London ;)

And what's this? The forecast is looking rather good for Sunday. Monday not to bad as well.

Back on topic...

The BBC piece captures the mood perfectly. I'll probably play it sometime mid-winter and cry :o

I had the pool completely to myself.. no one in the pool and no one on the side either at 1pm today! Just gorgeous.

I really want there to be longer seasons in the future.
