I've lived in Brixton for a few years and normally stick to the town centre and Brixton Hill, where I live. Today, walking back from the hospital along Coldharbour Lane and up I felt pretty uneasy as these teenagers walked either side of me and looked back in a threatening way, I was wearing my i-pod, which I know is a bit naive but had just had some unpleasant treatment and wanted to have a relaxing walk home(!!). Nothing came of it, but did unplug shortly after! So, what's the name of that massive concrete estate that looks like a car park? Bizarre building, have seen it before and have wondered.

It was built back to front as the 60's planners had envisaged a giant motorway running through Brixton.

I think I might have read that on here.

You sure that's not an urban myth? They say the same thıng about an unfeasıbly ugly estate where I come from, but ıts not true at all.

Architect commited suicide just after completion.

That myth is also around for the Aylesbury Estate - also untrue.
