parked up on kellett road today i saw a car with a piece of paper in the window saying "on location with 'the bill'" as well as a couple of OB equipement vans (or whatever the damn thigns are called). your challenge urbanites is to yoink some props, todd carthy's hat or something otherwise ace and post pictures here. or whatever, i dunno. i just wanted to tell everyone about the bill really.

They were up New Park Road a few days ago.

They drank in the George IV sometimes (when it was still a pub).

They shot in Elm Park once or twice as well

and they shot at the Elf Petrol Station on the Hill when it was a petrol station.

I sat there with Reg Hollis having a cigarette before we were told off for smoking in a petrol station :o

ha ha i saw him and stamp filming in a tesco recently

i grew up in sutton/wallington area and they used to film their loads and loads - the 'nick' is an old thames tv office on an industrial estate in merton for example.

an ex g.friend of mine, who was australian, her dad was mortified we lived in 'sun hill' - he thought we lived in a crime ridden part of the east end! bless

also billy murray detonated a tower block on an estate called Roundshaw in wallington when it was regenerated - it used to be the jasmine allen iirc!

A couple of friends of mine (well I haven't seen them for a few years actually, I think they're in Brighton now) had an episode of The Bill filmed round their flat when they lived in Streatham about 10 years ago.
