I used to live in good old Brixton in late 80īs. Didnīt met any Finns then. Found one book in Finnish language in Tate library - a few in Swedish.

His thread lost its porpoise. Still, at least he didn't carp about it. Poor Fin.

I hope we haven't dis-turbot-ed him.
Oh cod, I'm running out of fish puns. Better get my skates on. The tench-ion is palpable. If I can't think of any more I'll feel such a pollock. I used to be a dab hand at this. I thought I was prawn to pun.
Hmmm, better let Derian think of a few more, don't want to mackerel angry at me for hogging all the fish.

So not so many. But many funny language comments - Brixtish more than Brittish, suppose. It´s not only the accent - it´s the dialect...
We used to have a poster called Lady Finn but she hasn't posted for a while.

more likely to be russians. there is bit of russia by the border (forgot the name just right now, and I am not talking about estonia)) that is finnish speaking and finland was occupied by the tsarist empire and during the second world war by the soviets.
