:) This Friday (21st) "avant-garde American blues songstress" Sandy Dillon will be performing live in the Albert, along with Sir "Eddie" Real and guests, and djs till late. 9pm start, totally free!
She's been compared to Janis Joplin, PJ Harvey and Patti Smith; but having seen her I would say she's totally unique! Get there early, it may get busy.

the band are due on stage at 9.30pm and it sound like it could go on quite late :)

Let me change the thread title to big this night up - this should be really good show!

I'm doing the sound so I'll be sweating behind the desk. I may as well stay there and get some sleep there seeing as I'm doing a big Offline the night after!

I was in the Albert just after 10pm and there was no sign of a band or DJ.
so I went elsewhere...:(

so I went elsewhere...:(She was on at 10.30. Nipsla and I volunteered to DJ after the band 'cos we love it.

Sandy was great - it was pretty challenging stuff in a sort of Tom Waits/Patti Smith/Noo York way but she really grew on me in the end.

And after that, it was dance floor mayhem!
