On BBC1 news at the moment, they're talking about the bird flu virus being found in a dead swan near Cellardyke, Fife.

Will post more info when I find some.

Considering that Cellardyke is more or less straight across the North Sea from the German outbreak, it was surely only a matter of time?

I'm still intrigued by the timing tho. First case reported on the same day that they had scheduled a national excercise in bird flu/outbreak control.

I heard this morning that that's been cancelled while they concentrate on what's happening in Scotland.

Can't be sure though
