It's right in the middle of Edinburgh, on Calton Hill, at the end of Princes Street. You can walk to it from Waverley station :)

Sadly thanks to rich wankers moaning a lot (as fucking usual), it's no longer the free (although it's still cheap), massive, all-night festival of madness and insanity it used to be. But it's still fairly good. Not worth a trip on its own probably, but worth integrating into some kind of travel itinerary :)

I'll probably try and go this year as I haven't managed for the last 4 (although I think it was cancelled at leats once in that time).

Could be worth trying to organise a meet-up for it. Nothing too much mind, say anyone who's going to meet @ the top of Waverly steps at x O'clock or summat?

Some details:
To make Beltane happen we need the following..

1. More performers and torchbearers for air, earth, and water.
2. Elemental musicians for the points who come together to form great
big elemental band. Samhuinn Summer musicians where are you?
2. We need torchbearers and stewards
3. We need a solid technical crew.
4. We need a solid front of house staff.
5. We need chief superintendent Beltane to be a representative on
Fettes Row.


Tickets will be available from 1st April - venue t.b.c.. Price
usually at about the £3 mark but t.b.c. nearer the time. Check out
www.beltane.org from 1st April.


So if anyone actually wants to get involved contact volunteers@beltane.org.

You get to be in the thick of it, instead of on the sidelines :)
