Try here for Newton Stewart

Creetown Crystal Museum is cool, and in that area.
Here for Inverness area

If Castle Urquhart is open that's cool. You'd need to check with Historic Scotland for that.
Mind and beware of morons if you're on the A9.
Bring plenty warm clothes, and waterproof ones are always handy up here ;)
If you DO make it to the east coast(Angus) at all give us a shout! I can take you for a nice walk along the cliffs, or round some hillforts, unfortunately most of the standing stones are boxed for the winter, but if you let me know if you have a specific interest in anything I'll try and see what's about.
You'll need to find a castly type place yourself, I think Aberdeen/shire area is probably your best bet :) and I think they start about £70 a night last time I checked(a long time ago)

A stranger on the interweb offering to walk you around cliffs? I'd be worried ;)
Anyway, I'm too drunk ti have anything meaningful to add to this thread just now, so I'll bugger off :)

I'm not a stranger though :p
We've met, having said that I might be tempted to take EE for a long walk off a short cliff, because we've met ;)
