What ever happened to the Big Issue seller outside the tube who used to go; "big big bigee, bigee big big."?

He's a friend and he emigrated. He visited another friend recently and he's doing extremely well.

Glad to hear he's doing ok. He used to make some amusing quips as part of his sales-pitch, iirc.

Incidentally, my Mum, who doesn't come to London very often and finds it alarmingly different from 30 years ago when she does, had an errand to run for my brother-in-law, who had won some tokens for a camping/sports shop in Convent Garden. I took her up there to try and find the place and we got lost...I suddenly heard "big big bigee, bigee big big." and thought "Brilliant! He'll know!" and me and my Mum were led to the right shop with a fanfare of "big big bigee, bigee big big." as we went along!

Yeah, that's who I meant. Never remember him saying "big big bigee, bigee big big"
Don't seem to remember seeing him lately

I was just thinking that too, funnly enough. Looking back at it now, I think it's getting on for 10 years or so since I last saw him there. Doesn't feel that long, though - time's just rushed past!

Has anyone seen the Big Issue chappie that stands outside 'Next' on Charring Cross Road? I've been seeing him there for months. He just stands there on the one leg projecting the mag forward with the oppersite arm, absolutely still. Freaks me out, I worry that he's not alternating limbs often enough and is gonna fuck his back up......! :o
