View Full Version : Cobblers!
Anyone know of a decent cobbler in central Brixton? I've got a job interview tomorrow and I need to get the shoes that match my suit reheeled (meant to bring them with me today and take them to the convenient cobbler next door to work - but apparently I am a complete muppet and forgot  )
Thank you muchly :)
Not much helo i'm afraid. i was wondering that myself yesterday! I took the shoes back to Office where I bought em cos they were only 3 weeks old.
It's really annoying! I just can't think of anywhere that does it and I don't want to go out of my way tomorrow while I should be preparing.
Grrrrr. Can't believe I forgot to bring them with me
There is a cobbler on Electric Lane which is OK. A much better one is to be found in Herne Hill, in the row of shops next to the station.

One in the market area. Failing that, there's a shop on Brixton Road just before Kennington Park
The one near Kennington Park is fantastic - the bloke is Italian I think and is just so good.
He doesn't scrimp on anything and it's like a little artist working.
Get off the tube at Oval then see him and jump on a bus to Brixton :)

I was in there a day or so back - very friendly.
And it's less than a minute's walk from your door Nipsla! :)

Twas ok I think (although there was 1.5 hours worth of tests first -WTF!! )
Should hear by end of the week, they had 2 more people to see. I will either be celebrating or comiserating at Offline on Friday. I'll be hammered one way of the other  :D

My girlfriend just had a pair of boots re-soled at the cobbler on electric lane, very friendly and a good well-priced job done apparently.
