View Full Version : Fridays at The Dog Star
Whats on tonight? I can't access their site.
Cheers
Some DJs I've never heard of and lots of drunk blokes on the pull would be my guess.
The Albert (200yds away) is open till 2am and there's a top notch band on tonight, by the way.
Much more fun! :)
yeah, go to the albert instead!
Oh, and trying to track down their current site is quite a challenge - as each manager is sent packing/leaves by mutual consent they tend to take the domain name with them!
I wish the Dogstar would sort it out!

Good job you reminded me. I thought Naked Ruby were on on Saturday.
Thanks for the warning. I'll give The Albert a shot instead. What band are on?

see post above. Naked Ruby.
It's above you! Naked Ruby. I think it's £2 - cash goes to Crisis (the charity, not the band!)

Seems like you've been talked out of it but FYI The Dogstar has:
Tutto Matto (Tummy Touch)
Red Alert Sound System
and some DJ with the surname Kennedy.
I was thinking of going myself actually although I don't have a clue what to expect.
Might try them both Bazza but danke anuway. Have a top weekend people.

i think both will pack out,and the only reason people get turned away is when it's not safe to let any more people in,which is more likely as less people will be out in the garden in winter.
the other good reason to get there early is that there is 2 great bands on the bill, and mickey vespre djing.so don't give me a hard time if you get there late and can't get in.
Naturally, I expect editorial urban75 privileges!

we will have your pipe and slippers ready and a nice comfortable chair near the open log fire saved.
I can confirm the Dogstar is terrible now. Used to go they a lot about 5 years ago and loved it but doubt I'll go back now. Fiver to enter a half empty gaff playing crap music and selling expensive drinks. No thanks.
Lower City is an excellent film I though.
