Was up that way but didn't make it.

Thought it sounded a bit wanky and pretentious to be honest.

Like spending millions of ££ on special effects etc. can make the storr more beautiful.

Am I wrong? Did you enjoy it? :)

it was fantastic - been there many times before but always in daytime, it being a bit risky at night! in a sense it could comfortably be called hideously pretentious - but more and more these days i admire the ambition of people like that who take those risks of appearing pretentious for the sake of pursuing a vision. too often the fear of being seen as pretentious is a terrible prelude to not doing or engaging with anything. not always but too often imho. it's always a joy to look at something in a new way.

and it was beautiful, so atmospheric and ghostly under the moonlight. bits of it weren't always to my taste but i can't help but smile at a modern dancer floodlit in a corry at the back of the storr in the driving rain because it is completely ridiculous! i need more inspired ridiculousness in my life these days. plus nva had put loads of work into restoring the path so that people didn't go off it and scar the wider countryside and into the leaving the place in better nick than how they found it.

Cool.

Good points, well made!

Did actually consider going out of curiosity but never made it.
