I'm looking for a copy of Live A Live O by these fine men, but Amazon don't have it and what they do have only has a couple of the tracks I'm after on it.
I know the LP is at least 30 years old(1972 according to their discograpghy), but does anyone have a copy, know their parents have a copy or know where I could find one?
I particularly want Marie's Wedding and Johnny McEldo.
Cheers :)

My dad has a compilation from the 70s with live stuff on it. I'm pretty sure the version of Mairi's Wedding on it is live. I'll check if it's from the right live album next time I'm there.

Cheers, according to the website I looked at this is a little known album.
Why do I always want stuff that's awkward to get? :o

Why do I always want stuff that's awkward to get? :oBecause if it wasn't awkward to get someone would have it, therefore the search wouldn't be necessary.
It's like asking "Why is the thing you've lost always in the last place you look?"

 If I lose something I just wait for it to turn up coz the house fairies will have borrowed it. Happens every so often.
I'm going to my bed now. Night :)

I have a pile of original Corries Vinyl in the loft. Can you post a link/cover shot & I'll tell you if I have it or not? Pretty damn certain I've got Mahrie's Wedding as well.

Right. The LP my dad has is called "Spotlight on the Corries". It has Mairi's Wedding, but calls it the Lewis Bridal Song. Recorded live in 1967.
Just checked and my Dad has it on 12", I used to pick him up loads of Corrie vinyl from a local second hand shop every bday and Christmas. I will have a look in there for you tomorrow if you want. If they have it it will be in their £1 cheapo section or around 3.99 in the folk section.
PM me...

I had a look through the vinyl last night & yup, Mahri's Wedding is there but not McEldo. I remembered a pile of tapes as well, after I'd come down. Will look again.

S'ok, Alan has hopefully gotten a copy for me :)
Urban rules again!! :D
They should be forever condemned to the bargain bin at Woolworths for their complicity in 'writing' that dirge that is 'Oh flower of Scotland'
