I'm off to Oz for a working holiday soon & have heard that you can get tickets specially designed for round the world stopoffs but still with an open return for coming back. has anyone got any experiance with these, or can anyone point me in the right direction? whenever i tyry to look for it through google i get lost in a mire of adverts!
Thanks.

Bridge the World in Camden used to specialise in long haul and round the world tickets, maybe still do, but can't find their website. You could do a bit of googling.
I used to buy one yr open tickets with them to Asia, and found them to be v good and reasonable. The staff were travelling types themselves who knew what they were talking about.
a mate got tickets where he had to tell them roughly when he'd be travelling to each place, then once he'd arrive somewhere he had to ring the airline and sort out exactly which flight he'd be on to the next place when he was ready to move on.
i hope you have a great time :D

Thanks guys, It turns out that Bridge the World are now part of travelbag & they've done me a stonking deal! going to Sydney via San Francisco and an open ended return for 680 quid! not bad eh!
All together now! We're all going on a summer holiday, only transitory work for a year or two!

What time of year are you going?
Hey Manky, by the way, it's worth getting that quote from Bridge the World on paper and taking it into Flight Centre. They're obliged to give you the same flights, but cheaper. Usually only 20 quid or so, but 20 quid goes a long way downunder ;)

good plan! I'm leaving on or about the 21st November, and I have just realised I'll need to pay about 200 quid in tax & fees as well. Now that I have that quote & i know what im talking about a bit more I'll start shopping around... Thanks again
