Didn't quite know which forum to put this in so decided on Brixton as it's home turf as it were.

Due to Mrs Pie being made a job offer she couldn't refuse, we'll be leaving Brixton in Oct/Nov after 10 years here to take up residence in Zurich.

On the one hand, after 10 years of expense, pollution, and general everyday strife, the prospect of discovering a new and beautiful city, fresh air, lakes, mountains and a much improved standard of living is very exciting.

On the other hand we're going to miss the place like fucking buggery, as of course we all know there is nowhere like our beloved piece of south London.

So, thank you Brixton for being our wonderful home for the past decade and a piece of our hearts will always stay here.

(I'll be back & forth anyway 'cause of work ;) )

He's being sent down for "interfering" with the Carp at the local aquarium. :o

I visit a mate in Zurich quite often (well just north in chocolate-box land), next time I'm over there I'll give you a shout. You won't believe what you're smokin'. :D

Good Luck...still, they have computers there, don't they? I realise with the way the Swiss are, they may be restrictions on the hours you are allowed to use them (tapping on a keyboard might annoy the neighbours) but I daresay you might be able to pop in every now and then!

(tapping on a keyboard might annoy the neighbours)!

Was in Zurich a few years back in my mates house very drunk and very stoned playing some Routemaster acid techno CD very loudly on the stereo and all of a sudden 2 coppers walked in flashing their torches at us. We were sitting there surrounded by cans, bottle of JD and about 3 ounces of weed on the table.

Said they recieved 45 complaints from residents! :D They then reminded us that we were in Switzerland now and not London. :D

So I should probably postpone that visit to the car stereo place on Railton Road then!

I'm sure there's something about not hanging washing out on Sunday's as well

I'm sure it'll all be jolly fun and lighthearted. Until 8pm at least. ;)

Probably be a extra special cheese fondue restaurant instead.

You are joking aren't you???

Congratulations Pie 1 or Mrs Pie, but surely if Mrs Pie's job is that good you can come back quite regularly(you may need your pollution fix ;) )

I think I got that piece of info off mrs m, come to think of it.

They do say that in Switzerland, everything that is not banned is compulsory.

Good luck Pie 1 - you'll be missed.
And yes, Switzerland is a very 'shh' place - went to Lake Geneva with the family and my dad got told off by the cops for slamming the car door and shown how to close it considerately - 'comme ci....doucement'.
