View Full Version : Norway v Scotland

I know, just felt it needed refreshed. The men in dark blue (or light blue on this occassion) came up trumps tonight. Only punter I was disappointed with was "world class" Ferguson who faded really badly in the second half, but that's just picky: he played a good game in the first.
Accuse me of being anti-English if you like, but the match of the day commentators seemed utterly surprised that the team England were playing against were actually trying to win...don't these people know they are playing their BETTERS?
Still sadly too late for Germany 2006, i reckon, although doubtless they will keep the heartache going to the wire, but a modicum of self respect as a football team is being clawed back. Anyone in any country in need of an additional dose of soon-to-be-punctured hubris can have my 7" "We're on the road with ally's army".
Hi ho.
And that is disaster for Scotland, disaster for Scotland, disaster for Scotland...

The last 5 days and the 2 performances have been better than we could have hoped for really. I feel that for the first time in a long time we have finally got some self respect back. Tonights performance was awesome and i know Norway looked flat, but we still had to get the 3 points and we did. The first away victory since Iceland i believe.
Have to agree that i dont think we will make the playoffs, but am just happy to still have a chance and to get to witness another full house in Hampden in a months time. :) Going to get my tickets tomorrow!
Oh aye and i'd love your 7"!!
Doh a dear anyone.....

As I said on the football forum, Miller took his goals superbly, and what i saw of the match we were in fine form. Bit jammy with the second, but who's complaining?

I can't believe we're even still in with a shout, considering all the points we've dropped(still looks unlikely that we'll make the play off spot of course). If we'd been playing like this at the start we'd have coasted past this pasty lot!
I knew we were going to win last night. That's why I watched it.
I have no relevant comment to make about football;, other than I went to school with Scott Severin. Is he any good?
I also thought I was going to win the lottery last night, and the first two numbers out were mine.... then it fecked up. :(
