I'm rather excited about this.. :)
'OPEN HOUSE AT BROCKWELL HALL'
Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th September
10am - 5pm - both days
This is a wonderful opportunity to see the whole of the upstairs of the Main Hall whilst it is empty. Athough there was an open house weekend some nine years ago - this is the first time it has occurred whilst the property was vacant. You can see views all around the park - so bring your cameras!
It will be open from 10am - 5pm on both days. We are going to have some displays in each room about the history of the hall, and other things that are of interest; and hopefully people can just come up and wander around and enjoy the experience. This is a co-operative venture so there will also be a ranger and/or a Lambeth staff member.

Oh cool. I was just enthusing about Open House w/e this morning and this is perfect. A few years ago I went to the open house at Clissold House in Stoke Newington's Clissold Park, which was very grand but falling down inside, followed by a guided tour of Abney Park Cemetery, which was fab.

Moving in this Saturday morning, so should be all in by Saturday night.
I'm off on holiday on the evening of the 17th, so I reckon I'll try and head up there early afternoon.

Well it might be open Friday 16th assuming that they've got the date wrong. If Saturday I can't make it due to being out of town...

London Open House Weekend is historically held on a Saturday and Sunday. That being the, er, weekend. ;)

I was hoping this was some kind of exception. Saturday morning I have the joy of a journey to Blackpool. :(
