yes - with former European champion - Clinton McKenzie.
Was a member there for a few months.
Stopped going when they hiked the prices up.
I like Clinton - he's a friendly bloke - obviously a very good boxer too - great sparring with him etc.
There were two trainers - one former professional trainer - one amateur. So when you do the pads - you get a good mix of training your boxing style.
The pro was more into hip swing - getting the most amount of power in your punch. The amateur was more about defence, combos etc. Clinton was more messing about. Dodging his jab (which is very impressive) etc.... Top top fun.
Negatives - it's all a bit move the goalposts on price etc for my liking. They hiked prices up £10 a month and I thought that wasn't value for money.
I also said to a woman that works there in a friendly way that I was thinking about going there five days a week. She said, I would have to pay more money!
A few others in the gym got pissed off with her.
The shower didn't work until the last month.
The gym itself has a very friendly atmosphere - nodding heads - chatting etc....
It's pretty mixed - women/men.
If you have money to burn and want to get fit I would recommend it.
