Im thinking of jetting of to valencia for two days in November... any suggestions on where to stay? We want somewhere cheap and cheerful n in the cxity center...

I went a couple of years ago, stayed in an ok hotel in a good location, 20 euros a night for two iirc; it was the cheapest place we stayed in Spain. I'll see if I can dig out the name and address later.

i was just there at the beginning of the week ... i don't think valencia has the same number of hostels as barcelona, so you'll probably be looking at hotels. i ended up staying at hesperia parque central, which is basically about a 10 minute walk west of the old city centre. i booked the hotel on expedia, and it cost around £120 for 3 nights. i think if you're going with people, you'll be able to get a nice place for a great price. check expedia and lastminute.

valencia's a pretty cool city though! hope you enjoy your stay.

actually, i recall seeing two hostels in the old city, one was jam packed with people outside and the other looked dead. unfortunately i can't remember the names of either tho. :)

Hi Rennie, I was there a few weeks ago. It's an amazing city! I'm moving there next year for sure! (English teacher you see)

I stayed at the Nest Youth Hostel, which was fun, friendly and central!

Is a short distance from Home, but Home was full, and friends who stayed there said the atmosphere wasn't great because the hostel is spread over several different sites... Was about the same price as

Good luck with your search, you'll love it out there!

Think the hostel was something like www.nestyha.com or .es
