It's a different country, but a friend of mine went to Georgia a few years ago, and loved it. I would imagine Armenia and Georgia would be relatively similar countries... he said it was like an interesting cross between Europe and the Middle East...

My only experience of Armenia is from what I have read here at home, eating at a cosy Armenian restaurant in Manchester and meeting some Armenians living in Russia when on my travels. This thread has got me thinking. A trip there is on the cards methinks, one day. When I've saved the pennies.
