Pretty straightforward.

I do yoga (anything but bikram or "power yoga" type things) and I train regularly in jazz and Afrobrazilian dance.

I'm looking for places to do those things while I'm in London.

Ideally, N London; but anywhere relatively central is fine.

Any suggestions (including recommendations of other dance classes - I enjoy hip hop, African, various modern techniques ... except I'm not so much in the mood for release technique or anything too languid).

thanks and spanks

there's pineapple in covent garden - here's what they've got on today, it's always very varied, and fairly resonably priced. and the beauty is you just turn up to the class you want to do :)

Triyoga in Primrose Hill is pretty good. And Danceworks on Balderton Street (nr Bond St tube) is good for dance.

Have fun :)

Pole dancing at shake n' swing? (http://www.shakenswing.co.uk/) Essex Rd N1, moving to Holloway Rd by Highbury & Islington in a few weeks.

Danceworks (http://www.londondance.com/content/291/danceworks/) in Balderton St are good and so are Pineapple as Tank girl said.

For Yoga the best places in London (in my experience) are Yogaplace (http://www.yogaplace.co.uk/) in Bethnal Green, or Islington Yoga (http://www.islingtonyoga.com/) - guess where that is

I've been going to the North London Buddhist Centre to do Yoga for the last couple of years.

It's on Holloway Road.

It's great.

I went there too, last year - not too expensive, friendly, fun :)

True.
I've been to glastonbury 13,000 times, far far far cooler than you I am...

But the yoga was good, & there are probably other teachers.

True he is by far the best yoga teacher I've ever come across. I presume there are other teachers at the NLBC but he does seem to teach all the beginner courses.

I did another course while you were away but I ended up giving it up half way through cos of that bloke. I can't for the life of me articulate what it is but there's something about him which really fucking irritates me . . .
